Create your group
Give your group a name and a dedicated number. Configure it for the way you run things.
Group messaging, thoughtfully done
SimchaText gives schools, synagogues, families, and neighborhood groups one simple place to send updates by SMS — without asking everyone to download an app.
Works with smartphones and flip phones alike.
01 / The simple version
Set up a dedicated group, invite your members, and send the message. SimchaText handles the behind-the-scenes delivery so you can focus on what you want to say.
Give your group a name and a dedicated number. Configure it for the way you run things.
Members join by text. No account, app, or data plan is required to receive updates.
Write from the web console today. A central phone option is planned for a future release.
02 / Built for real life
Some members have the latest phone. Some prefer a flip phone. SimchaText keeps the experience familiar: messages arrive as ordinary text messages, on the devices people already know.
03 / A place for every rhythm
From a weekly reminder to a last-minute update, keep the signal focused and the conversation close.
Share schedule changes, reminders, and community notes with the people who need them.
Explore for congregationsKeep families aligned on announcements, events, and the details that change day to day.
Explore for schoolsMake a shared channel for a household, block, trip, or any circle that cares to stay connected.
Explore for families04 / Plainspoken pricing
Start with one group and see exactly what you are paying for. Pricing can be configured over time, including free groups and per-group overrides.
Start a group+ $0.01 per carrier-billable SMS unit
05 / Your wallet, your call
Prepay $25 or $50 into your group wallet. Turn on optional auto-refill when you want less to remember. View the balance online and top up before the group needs you.
06 / A useful detail
Carrier billing counts SMS units, not just the number of times you press send. Long messages may be segmented. Unicode characters and emoji can also reduce the number of characters in each segment.
i We show the rules clearly so your wallet balance never feels mysterious.
07 / Questions, answered
Still deciding? Start with the console and see whether the rhythm fits your group.
Open the group consoleNo. Members receive ordinary SMS messages, so a flip phone works too. Members do not need to download an app.
Members must consent to receive messages. Standard keywords such as STOP, START, HELP, and LEAVE are supported as applicable; make your group’s opt-in instructions clear and keep records of consent.
Sending is suspended at a zero balance. The dedicated number is retained for 60 days so the wallet can be restored before the group is closed.
Pricing is configurable. Free groups and per-group overrides are supported as the service is configured for your needs.
Secure web payments through Stripe are planned. A central phone payment flow using FreeSWITCH is also planned for a future release.
Keep the important things close
